I recently advised a patient to buy a new TV (Samsung series 4 43″) to help their hearing of TV. Unfortunately, after attaching the optical lead to the CONNECTLINE TV BOX and switching on the OTICON STREAMER 1.2, she noticed that the TV streaming signal was much lower than on her previous TV. This is because different TVs have different output strengths on each output (socket).
I was able to solve this by, 1. changing the TV sound settings…
and 2. turning up the TV signal strength on the hearing aid programming software.
Obviously, this involved a home visit. Generally, this level of service is perhaps better delivered by a good local audiologist?
Do you need to hear the TV better? I can help you.
