My family’s visit to Flanders

We all just got back from a quick holiday in Belgium. What a wonderful place. I haven’t been there for over 30 years. I find the people very friendly. It’s generally a very clean and well-organised country. We popped over to Zeebrugge, and I didn’t realise how close some pretty cool places were. Bruges is the obvious one – we visited on All Saints’ Day, and watched this:

A lovely see-side town, Blankenberg, I’d never heard of, was a lovely place to spend a day:

And then I thought I’d take the family to a nearby WWI battlefield, to make sure that they never forget all the innocents that laid down their lives…
